A doctoral defense will take place in our Doctoral School in August. Our Comparative Literature and Culture PhD student – Hanan J. R. Alawna – will defend her dissertation entilted “Women’s Writing in the Middle East: Subverting the Image of the ‘Third World Woman’ in Sahar Khalifeh’s Writings”.
